It may be out of place to see a game-related post here, but this visual has been teasing me a lot since early this month.
I have been seeing it in many stations along the Yamanote-line.
It is an ad for a new game called "Bayonetta", and the visual/girl might be the coolest thing I have seen in a long time.
Here is the photo I took with my humble phone:
Here is the link to the site. The sequence looks like Angelina Jolie in Wanted, à la Japonaise.
In my research about Japanese design, last semester, I have chosen a very traditional Japanese subject, which is "The Way of Tea", or "Tea Ceremony" to make a calendar for. The Way of Tea, or as it is called in Japanese "Chado" or "Sado", is a performing art of Japanese hospitality, where the host offers his guests a bowl of tea, in a very ritualised, yet humble manner.
Unlike most of the visuals you can find about tea ceremony, the ones I worked on don't
focus on the four virtues of Tea, which are Harmony, Respect, Purity,
and Tranquillity, but rather focus on the intensity of the five senses
when experiencing tea, inside the tea room.
