I have been trying to learn about Japanese design, and how to use its unique visual aesthetics in different ways.
You can see four posters I did last semester. Three of them share the same topic, which is a solo piano concert for Keith Jarrett, and the fourth is for a Japanese Festival held in Jordan.
With the Japan Festival poster, I tried to use a Japanese motif in a more original way, and slightly indirect manner.
As for the other three Keith Jarrett posters, the interesting part was working analogue first, then finishing the layout on the computer, which is something I haven't done in a long time.
The three Keith Jarrett posters try to express sentiments and feelings of attending a KJ piano solo concert. Each in a different way. One has several layers of paper with different textures, and shades of grey. The second features brush strokes of water with some glitter in it, written on a black paper. The third has silver and gold dust, brushed in a KJ cutout.
I hope you will like them.
Hopefully, more work updates in later posts.
