The Gates of Hell
I came full circle with this work of art. I have seen the original plaster that was made to cast the three original bronze casts, one piece in Museé d'Orsay, second one in Museé Rodin, both in Paris, and now finally the third cast in front of National Museum on Western Art in Ueno. ٌRodin did many "sculpture sketches" (in 1880's) before he did this work which was based on Dante's Inferno, among those huge "sketches" was the very famous "Thinker" that you can see sitting on top of gate gazing down upon Hell.
